ORGANISERS hailed this year's Oakworth Gala as an “unqualified success” with gorgeous weather following a morning downpour.
Spokesman Jacqui McGinnis said: “Besides our own gala queen and the retiring gala queen there were also queens from Silsden, Sutton and Colne along with dancers, classic cars, a vintage bus and lots of children.
“The gala field was full to bursting and everyone was happy and smiling.”
There were well-received arena displays from the Starlight Stompers, the City of Bradford Pipe Band, Songbirds junior theatre group and the May School of Dance.
The annual Oakworth fell race, held towards the end of the afternoon, was as usual very popular.
