AN ORGANISATION for disabled athletes in Keighley will receive funding from Bradford-based international logistics service provider Torque.
The company has chosen Bradford Disability Sport and Leisure (BDSL) as one of its community partners for the next 12 months.
BDSL runs several groups in Keighley including Paralympics and youth athletics sessions at University Academy Keighley.
Torque will donate cash to BDSL to provide competition flooring, competition fees, kit and medals, and sponsorship of the National Power Lifting Championships held in Bradford.
There will also be fundraising activities by employees in Torque’s seven warehouses across the UK, and staff will volunteer at BDSL sports events.
The charity’s development manager Dean Carroll said: “The investment will ensure we continue to offer higher quality sport and physical activity opportunities to disable people across the district.
“Funding will ensure we are able to continue to support athletes to take part in local, regional, national and international competitions.”
