A BINGLEY bakery equipment specialist is relocating to a new factory in Keighley with the prospect of new jobs.
Dowson Food Machinery says the move will give it two-and-a-half times more operating space than it currently has, enabling the business to expand.
The move will be completed this month, allowing the company to incorporate all its manufacturing under one roof.
The firm was established in Yorkshire in 1982 and acquired another UK bakery equipment company, JBS, two years ago.
Managing director, Nick Lacey, said: “When we acquired JBS, we gradually incorporated all the in-house manufacturing into our two sites at Bingley.
"But we've outgrown both sites due to our increasing success at providing bespoke systems to our customers.
"This new factory will enable us to make additional efficiencies in our working practices, plus it will give us more space to grow.”
The new site is at Riverside Business Park in Royd Ings Avenue.
It should allow the business to increase its workforce by a predicted 20 per cent during the next two years, from its current 50 to 60 employees.
