A GROUP treasurer and his daughter have completed a canalside sponsored walk to raise funds and awareness.
David Leary, of Steeton-based Breathe Easy Aire Valley, walked with daughter, Claire, from Bingley Five Rise Locks to Saltaire and back.
Their effort – held to coincide with the British Lung Foundation's Breathe Easy Week – has so far raised more than £100, with donations still coming in.
Breathe Easy groups provide free support and advice to anybody affected by a lung condition, from lung cancer and COPD to mesothelioma.
They also arrange speakers and campaign on local and national issues.
The next meeting of the Aire Valley group is at the Hub, in Stone Grove, Steeton, from 1.45pm to 3.45pm on Wednesday, when ward officer, Liz Horn, will be the speaker.
