A CHRISTMAS Day burglar is back behind bars after raiding another house two months after his release from jail.
Amaan Rashid, 25, was imprisoned for 18 months at Bradford Crown Court yesterday for smashing his way into a property in Highfell Rise, Keighley, on May 21 and stealing £200 in cash, a laptop computer, car keys and a watch.
Rashid, of Penfield Grove, Clayton, Bradford, was on double licence at the time, for burgling a house in Cote Lane, Allerton, Bradford, on December 25, 2014, and trafficking in Class A drugs.
He was jailed for ten months last October for the burglary after serving a sentence of five-and-a-half years, imposed in 2012, for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
Rashid was part of a gang whose £400 haul on Christmas Day included a Playstation, Nintendo Wii, a whisky hip flask and a Black and Decker power tool.
Rashid, a married man with two children, was freed from prison on March 24 this year.
