HAVING read the story regarding the long-awaited shopping centre for East Parade – New lease of life for shopping centre plan (Keighley News, November 24) – I am very worried about the supposed ‘crack team of Bradford Council officers’.
I fear the word ‘crack’ is misspelt and should end in a ‘p’.
If they try to replicate the abysmal effort at the Bradford shopping centre, you can guarantee that after the novelty has worn off, nobody will visit.
What should be put there – as I have said before – are large, medium and small industrial units, and concentrate on refurbishing our main shopping centre in the town centre.
It makes sense to do this because after Brexit, we will need all the premises we can get for another technical/industrial revolution.
