IN a week when the dreadful terrorist attack in London dominated the news, I have personally taken some comfort from a couple of local events this week.
The first was the One Britain One Nation event at City Hall in Bradford, where a diverse range of individuals came together to promote the wonderful thing that it is to be British.
And the second was as a helper at the BigK 10K for Manorlands, where people of all shapes, sizes and colour came together to support our local hospice.
I hope events like these send a firm message to those who would try to harm us, both physically and as a society, that we will not be overcome. Well done to all the participants of both events and keep up the good work.
