KEIGHLEY College director Heather Whitehead was principal guest at the 117th annual dinner of the town’s Association of Engineers.

She spoke about the “very promising” future for the college and its students.

Other guests included the president of Leeds Association of Engineers and Anthony Pilling, former chief architect at Lancashire County Council, who talked about the preservation of historical industrial buildings.

The event was held at Newsholme Manor, Oakworth.

Recent trip venues for the Keighley association have included Rath Trombones, at Honley, and Stanley Ferry Workshops near Wakefield.
