SILSDEN is gearing-up for its gala.
The event takes place at the town's park on Sunday, July 30.
Kick-starting the extravaganza as usual will be the procession, which will assemble in Howden Road at noon.
There will be four entry categories – best general float, gala queen float, walking group and fancy dress, which will be judged in under-eight, eight-to-16 and mixed group sections.
The procession will set off at 1pm and follow a route along Howden Road, Kirkgate, Bolton Road and Dale View, to the park.
"Entry to the gala field has been held at £1 – despite greatly increased costs to stage the event," said a spokesman.
Entertainment at the park will include music, band displays and Silsden Majorettes.
And other attractions will include a tug o' war, children's races, ducking stool, dog show, owls, children's entertainers, stalls, a licensed bar and refreshments.
The event is supported by Marshall's funfair and various sponsors, including Danny Clarke and Destination Travel with Jet2 Holidays.
