A 65-YEAR-OLD man returned home to find a burglar in the property.

The assailant – who had gained entry to the house in Goose Cote Lane, Keighley, by throwing a brick through a rear window and forcing the patio doors – then fled empty handed.

Detectives have released an efit image of the suspect.

He is described as white, in his mid to late 20s, with dark hair and of average build.

Police are appealing for anyone who recognises him to come forward.

They are also asking anybody who witnessed the incident, which happened at about 9.45am on October 3, or has any other information to get in touch.

The householder wasn't hurt.
