A WILSDEN postwoman hopes she has found her first-class man after he pledged £2,000 to win a date with her as part of a fundraising drive.
Kelly Williams, 41, wants to fund £60,000 stem cell treatment for her friend Sol, who lives in Argentina but was bitten by a tick during a holiday to the UK in 2012 and now suffers from chronic Lyme Disease.
Ms Williams is raising funds for the Spread a Little Sunshine charity.
Keith Johnson, 46, of Queensbury, won a date with Ms Williams after he ran a social media campaign leading up to last Thursday night’s auction, held at The Potting Shed, Main Street, Bingley. where his friends stumped up some of the cash.
The event raised a total of £5,500, taking Ms Wiliams’ overall total to £20,000.
