LITTLE children and disabled adults are enjoying Christmas trees courtesy of Keighley Tree Services.
The long-established Cross Roads company donated five large trees to worthy local causes earlier this month.
The company appealed on Facebook for nominations and received dozens of suggestions from local people, around half of them for Manorlands.
Seven-foot trees were given to Lees Primary School, the Worth Valley Primary School breakfast club in Bracken Bank, and the Voyage residential home for people with learning difficulties at the former Three Sisters pub above Cross Roads.
Worth Valley volunteer David Weston said: “Thanks to Keighley Tree Services for donating this amazing tree, and thank you to the peace elves who decorated it making it look so special.”
Another tree went to a family in the Nessfield area of Keighley, who every year create a massive Christmas lights display in their garden to raise money for charity.
Manorlands already had a decorated tree outside its Oxenhope hospice, so the charity decided to raise funds by holding silent auction for the donated tree.
