A FUNDRAISING event is being staged for Manorlands in memory of a man cared for at the hospice.
The family fun day, in tribute to Colin Green, takes place at Steeton Hall Hotel on Saturday, March 3.
Organising the event are Mr Green's family and friends, who are in the process of forming a Manorlands support group for Ilkley.
His daughter, Katie Canning, said: "We selected Steeton Hall for the event because it's a great venue and a place where dad enjoyed coming for a drink with his friends and family.
"We hope the fun day will prove to be a great event for all, whether they knew dad or not, and hopefully it will be the first of many events we put on to help Manorlands to continue providing brilliant care as they did for my dad."
Mr Green died at the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice last summer, aged 63.
The fun day – from 1pm until late – will feature live music from acts including John Driver and Liam Jarvis, 'Pick the DJ will perform and there will be a children's DJ.
Other attractions will include face painting, games, a tombola and bouncy castle.
The hotel bar will be open all day, and there will be a special gin and prosecco section.
More details about the event can be obtained from Katie on katielouisegreen@yahoo.co.uk.
