YOUNGSTERS at a Silsden pre-school group have taken part in a rhyme challenge.
All 29 children at Pied Piper were involved in the initiative.
They learned a new rhyme every week – over five weeks – and explored each through art, crafts, roleplay and other activities.
The venture culminated with a celebratory event attended by family members.
Each child received a certificate.
The sessions were staged as part of the Bradford Libraries Rhyme Challenge.
Jane Hitchcock, for Pied Piper Pre-School, said the children thoroughly enjoyed taking part.
She added: "Nursery rhymes play an important role in developing children's early literacy and language skills.
"Through nursery rhymes young children develop their speech, vocabulary and imagination, as well as learning about colours, numbers, shapes, animals and much more.
"And of course nursery rhymes are also a lot of fun!"
