A RIDDLESDEN woman’s annual plant sale has raised a record £1,500 for charity.
Linda Clegg once again held the sale at Riddlesden War Memorial Institute with the help of family and friends.
She said: “The plant sale went very well in glorious weather. We had record takings, a record amount of teas and cakes sold, and a record tombola.”
The sale featured home-grown perennials and bedding plants for sale, along with homemade cakes, teas and a raffle.
Proceeds this year will be split between Cancer Now, Kidney Research and Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.
The plant sale last year raised £1,275 for charity.
Linda thanked everyone who had helped before or on the day, by baking, growing plants or providing prizes.
