PEOPLE who clubbed together to help improve a public green space in Oxenhope were thanked for giving up their time.
Friends of Oxenhope Rose Garden and other volunteers gathered at this spot on the afternoon of August 5.
Oxenhope Parish Council chairman Ken Eastwood, who was among the volunteers, thanked Cllr Robert Goulding for providing manure to help with the planting, and also singled out Cllr Joyce Harrop who offered refreshments.
“Ten of us did some work in the Rose Garden, which wasn’t a bad turnout given the very hot conditions,” he added.
“We agreed to have our next meeting at 7.30pm in Haworth Park on August 29, when we’ll be taking a look at the planting there and talking about what we’ll be doing in the Rose Garden between now and the winter.”
