IT WAS hammer time Malham Show as an auction raised £760 for Manorlands.
Proceeds from the annual auction of goods is always donated to charity and this year the committee of Malhamdale Agricultural and Horticultural Society decided to support the Oxenhope hospice.
Committee chairman Phil Hargreaves said: “There are several local people who have been cared for by Manorlands nurses recently, and we know how the hospice helps local families at what is usually a very difficult time.”
Sam Bradley from CMM Auctions led the charity auction and the committee said he did a fantastic job and really helped with the success of the fundraising.
Molly Ralphson, community fundraiser for Manorlands, said she was very grateful for everyone involved in Malham Show for thinking of the hospice and raising such a fantastic amount.
She said: “To everyone involved, from those who donated their produce, to those who bought the goods and those who organised the auction, thank you very much!
“Manorlands hospice needs to fundraise £2.3 million per year so we are always looking to our local community to help with this.”
