THE Coral are playing a UK headline tour next month, hot on the heels of their support slot on the Manic Street Preachers arena tour.
The group will be promoting their latest album ‘Move Through The Dawn’ as they tour with support from Liverpool quartet She Drew The Gun. People can see The Coral on October 6 at the Beckett Students’ Union, in Leeds.
The first single to be taken from Move Through The Dawn was the BBC 6Music-playlisted ‘Sweet Release’, whose video featured a synchronized routine by a boiler-suited, paper bag hat-wearing dance troupe.
The album was recorded in Liverpool as a follow-up to 2016’s critically acclaimed ‘Distance Inbetween’.
Nick Power, The Coral’s keyboard player, has written a new book, ‘Into The Void’, which will be published by Ebacc concurrently with the new album.
The book is described as an insightful, evocative first-hand account of the recording, release and touring of ‘Distance Inbetween’, which came after a five-year hiatus for the band.
Since their debut EP release in 2001 The Coral have sold over a million UK albums, with five reaching the Top 10 including 2003’s chart-topping ‘Magic and Medicine’.
