A WEEKEND which gives people a chance to get unusually creative and imaginative with costumes will return to Haworth this month.

Haworth Steampunk Weekend will be back in the village for its sixth year on November 23, 24 and 25.

Locals and visitors can look forward to hundreds of followers of the steampunk science fiction genre, who will come dressed in an array of colourful, retro outfits and accessories.

A spokesman for the organisers explained: “We’ll again be raising funds for Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice.

“Thank you to all who supported us at last year’s event, when we were able to raise £4,337.04 for Manorlands, which is a much-needed good cause.”

The weekend will feature specialist markets packed with steampunk fashion. These will be in Haworth Village Hall and West Lane Baptist Chapel.

There will also be live music, food and refreshments.
