CHILDREN'S activity classes based in and around Keighley have won national recognition for the high quality of entertainment they provide.

Bumble Tots has won Best Independent Baby and Toddler Activity in the 2018 What's on 4 Kids Awards. The music, movement and sensory classes cater for many parents and their babies, toddlers or pre-schoolers each week.

Bumble Tots was founded in January 2017 by East Morton resident Rachel Ingram who is the owner and class leader.

She writes all the songs for the classes, plans every session on her own and delivers 12 classes a week.

Her classes use puppets, instruments, fancy dress, lights and other props to explore original songs and themes.

Mrs Ingram was up against hundreds of nominees from around the country, so said she felt thrilled to have won the award.

She added she was overwhelmed by the support she has had from local people since setting up her business, explaining the award – which was voted for by parents – had been the icing on the cake.

“I feel so lucky that I get to do this for my job," she said.

"Getting to know all the amazing parents and children I see each week, and to see them enjoying the classes is incredible and makes it the best job in the world.

"Winning this award against all of those other classes across the country has truly blown me away, and made this whole journey of setting up my own little business unbelievably rewarding.”
