AROUND 30 students from Parkside School visited local businesses as part of Bradford Manufacturing Week.
The year nine students visited companies such as such as Don Whitley, PFF Packaging, Expressed Steel Panels and Advanced Actuators.
A school spokesman said: “The students gained a real insight to all aspects of manufacturing from jobs on the ground floor to the role of managing director.
“Feedback from businesses was extremely positive in regards to our students asking relevant and pertinent questions.
As a result of the visit, Parkside School’s Science and Geography faculties are now working with PFF Packaging to see how the company can complement the curriculum.
Kenton Roberts, PFF Packaging’s Group Managing Director, will visit the Cullingworth school to deliver a lesson to year 11 students about crude oil, hydrocarbons and polymers.
