IT WAS all talk, talk, talk for Parkside School students as they sounded out the opposition.
Year 10 students recently took part in round one of the 'Speak Out Challenge' run by the Speakers Trust.
The students spent a day working on their speaking and listening skills, culminating in them independently preparing and presenting a speech to their peers.
The winners were Libby Marsh, Sawyer Brook, Connor Luby, Megan Dobbin, Tia Thompson
Jessica Mann
English teacher Rachel Norgate said: "The next round will take place during an assembly final, where judges will face the challenge of deciding who will then be entered into the regional finals. We can only choose one!"
Rachel said the students were an asset to the school and it was “truly wonderful” to see them speak with such passion and conviction.
