CHILDREN with disabilities have been rocking out at their respite home in Keighley.
Clockhouse Rocks was a garden party to raise money for extra activities and equipment at the home on Oakworth Road.
Attractions included a DJ, karaoke, cake stalls, tombola, ice cream van, nail painting, bouncy castle and face painting.
A grandmother of some Clockhouse children, named Betty, asked people to donate money instead of giving her presents for her 90th birthday.
Clockhouse spokesman Paula Denny said: “We do fundraising to enable activities or equipment for the children that are not possible to obtain within our council budget.
“Families of Clockhouse are involved with that – Betty saw how much her grandsons loved their time here and asked for donations to be given to Clockhouse. Her generosity was awesome, making that suggestion rather than receiving personal gifts for her birthday. The money totalled over £500.”
Paul also highlighted the generosity of local businesses who supported the raffle, such as Lunds butchers, Oxford Taxis, Keelham Farm Shop and Bardots hair salon.
