A FREE talk about the history of some of Keighley's hospitals will be staged at a local attraction.
The event in the learning room at Cliffe Castle Museum has been arranged by Cliffe Castle Support Group and takes place at 1.30pm on Saturday January 19.
A spokesman for the organisers said: "Local historian Ian Dewhirst will give a fascinating insight into the older hospitals, including the First World War hospital that dealt with 13,000 military patients, and anecdotes about how at that time the operating theatre was actually a kitchen table!
"Booking is essential. To book a place, people should either call in at Cliffe Castle, ring 01535 618231 or e-mail Cliffe.Castle@bradford.gov.uk"
