A PAIR of community planting days will be staged at St Ives Country Park, near Harden.
People are welcome to get involved in one or both of the days at Betty’s Wood, which take place on Thursday January 17 and Saturday January 26.
Large parts of this woodland had to be felled to prevent the spread of a plant disease.
The community planting sessions are part of a scheme to rejuvenate the area with thousands of new trees.
People interested in taking part should meet at 10am at the bottom car park below the wood. They are asked to bring their own spade and come equipped with sturdy footwear. Visit friendsofstives.org.uk/events/ for more details.
