Firearms report sees armed police deployed in Keighley
ARMED police officers arrested five people in Keighley following a report of suspected firearms in a vehicle.
The police were first alerted yesterday evening, (Jan 8) and detained the occupants of a vehicle near High Spring Gardens.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: “At around 7.38pm on Tuesday January 8 we received information about a vehicle in the Keighley area which was reported to have firearms inside.
“Armed officers were deployed and located a vehicle matching the description in the Albany Court area.
“While no firearms were located, the five male occupants of the vehicle were arrested for other matters, and the vehicle was also recovered for further investigation.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
