TERMINAL illness charity Marie Curie says it needs help from volunteers from across Keighley.
It is looking for people prepared to give two hours of their time to hand out the charity’s distinctive daffodil pins, in return for donations.
The charity’s annual fundraiser, the Great Daffodil Appeal, runs throughout March. The first of the daffodil collections begins on February 28 at Keighley's Morrisons. There will be two more collections at the supermarket on Friday March 1 and Saturday March 2.
People willing to volunteer at these events are invited to bring along friends and family for extra support in raising the funds needed by the charity.
Marie Curie community fundraiser Aanika Dhillon said: “Whatever someone's story, donating and wearing a daffodil pin during March unites them with millions of others to help make sure all dying people get the care and support they deserve.
“We'd like people to volunteer just two hours of their time at a collection near them, which will mean they are raising money to help make sure more dying people get the care and support they need at the end of their lives.
"Collecting is lots of fun. People can do it on their own or with friends, and Marie Curie will support volunteers from the moment they sign up.”
