KEIGHLEY takeaway Pizza Amico’s has moved into the Royal Oak pub.
Owner Yildiray Zeyrek provides meals in the Damside pub as well as serving takeaway and delivery customers as he did at his old outlet in nearby High Street.
The partnership came about because Royal Oak landlords Paddy and Lisa Gaskin wanted to provide meals again after shutting their kitchen last October.
Paddy persuaded the pub’s owners, Brewery Timothy Taylor, to allow him to ‘franchise’ his restaurant facility.
Paddy said Yildiray was a perfect choice because the two men are not only friends, but regular customers in each other’s establishments.
He said: “We’ve bought a new pizza oven and donner machine, but the menu is exactly the same as Pizza Amico’s had before.”
