OPEN access adventure play sessions will be held in Keighley from the start of next month.
They will be staged every Friday afternoon from March 1 to April 5 from 3.30pm to 5.30pm on a field off St Johns Way, near Beckfoot Nessfield Primary School.
The sessions will be co-ordinated by the Big Swing Outreach team, with support from volunteers and funding from town councillors.
A spokesman for the organisers said: “We welcome children of primary age – five to 11-years-old. Younger children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
“Staff are DBS checked and First Aid trained. People can just come along and don’t need to book.”
Community development worker Pip Gibson (pictured) said: “This is being funded by Keighley town councillors for Fell Lane and Westburn – many thanks to councillors Gary Pedley and Julie Adams.
“It will be professionally run by Eccleshill Adventure Playground, backed by Beckfoot Nessfield Primary.
“It’s a pilot project which will depend heavily on help from volunteers, especially if it’s to continue long term.” People interested in volunteering can contact Janet Jewitt on 079318 43480.
