KEIGHLEY Soroptimists learned more about the Fairtrade movement.
Hilary Davies, who has been involved with Fairtrade since the 1980s, was guest speaker.
She talked about trips to the Middle East, where she worked among farmers.
Hilary explained how the farmers faced many struggles, and often had their crops set alight.
Women in Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Hebron produce a lot of embroidery work and sell it via Fairtrade.
Hilary has also spent time in Kenya, and she spoke about the country’s production of coffee beans and tea.
