A KEIGHLEY man who during a row with his former partner damaged a door was ordered to pay £236 in fines and costs by Skipton magistrates.

Police went to Airedale Ings in Cononley at 1.30pm on February 17 after receiving a call about a domestic incident, the court heard on Friday.

There were conflicting reports from Christian Feather and his former partner as to what had happened, but acceptance from Feather that he had at some point had caused damage to a door at the property, the court heard.

Feather, 29, of Heather Grove, admitted criminal damage.

He told the court it had been out of character and would not happen again and that he was happy to pay for the damage.

Magistrates fined him £71, with costs of £85 and a surcharge of £30. He will also have to pay £50 compensation to his former partner for damage to the door.
