A REVAMP at a Keighley town centre charity shop means the premises can now put even more of its stock on display.

Fresh Waters Christian Charity Shop, which is marking nine years since it was first established, has shifted its clothing range to a new room in the Bridge Street premises and also refurbished part of the interior.

The shop raises cash to pay for water filters so people in the developing world can have access to safe, clean drinking water. It has so far raised a total of £92,000 for this cause.

Luke Ferrey, one of the shop's managers, explained: "We've moved our bric-a-brac section to a back room where clothes used to be, and put the clothing in a room where we can now display three times as much as we used to. There's much more space available.

"Previously we had lots of clothing stored upstairs which we hadn't been able to put on display.

"It's nine years since we opened and the shop was looking a little tired, so we felt it was time to bite the bullet and give it a facelift.

"We were closed last week while we did the refurb. We had a joiner in, but the rest was done by our volunteers."

Mr Ferrey said people are welcome to come and see the result of the changes at the shop this coming Saturday. (March 23)
