DEMOLITION work will be carried out this summer on the former Keighley College building in Cavendish Street, it has been confirmed.
Bradford Council says it's in "advanced discussions" with a buyer.
And following a full tender, a contractor is likely to be instructed to begin demolition within months.
Planning permission to bulldoze the building was granted in September last year.
The property, which the council has owned since 2006, had been extensively marketed but without any suitable offers.
A council spokesman said: "Although the demolition is not expected to take place for a few months, preparation work will start in the next few weeks so people might notice workers going in and out of the building to get it ready.
"Clearing the site will offer the purchaser a ‘clean slate’ to create a modern, purpose-built structure in a highly desirable town-centre location."
