VOLUNTEERS who have given their time to make a success of Haworth Village Hall were thanked in the annual report to Haworth, Cross Roads & Stanbury Parish Council.
Parish council chairman, Councillor David Mahon, delivered the report at a meeting of the council on Monday. (April 8)
He said: "The council has continued to work closely with the management committee at Haworth Village Hall.
"Having recently formed a 'company', which is able to take on the lease for the building with Bradford Council in its own right, the parish council has recently withdrawn from its formal agreement with the district council, allowing the village hall company complete control of its future.
"I'd like to express public thanks to the team of volunteers who, since April 2016, have taken responsibility for the operation of the former community centre building.
"The parish council will continue to support the group and sincerely hopes that the building will continue to thrive as a valuable resource for the village."
