THE TOUR de Yorkshire wasn't the only event to draw the crowds to Haworth this weekend.
The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway held a special Diesel and Mixed Traffic Gala from Thursday to Sunday.
It drew fans of both steam and diesel locomotives to the town.
The gala encompassed two different eras providing a look back for those who do not remember steam traction, for whom the event could bring back memories of the heritage machines that worked from the end of steam, right up until recent memory, and also gave two days of steam hauled trains, reminiscent of a time when diesels and steam worked side by side on the national network
Among the stars of the gala were the unique Prototype HST locomotive, 41001, which headlined the event.
It was famous for smashing the UK rail and world diesel speed record in 1973 at 143.2mph.
