POLICE have today issued an appeal for witnesses to an accident at Riddlesden in which a pedestrian suffered serious injuries.
The 25-year-old man, from Bingley, was airlifted to Leeds General Infirmary following the incident.
His condition is described as critical but stable.
The accident happened in Bradford Road, outside the Co-op store, just before 5pm last Thursday.
The pedestrian was involved in a collision with a black Vauxhall Astra travelling towards Keighley.
It was being driven by a 37-year-old Keighley man, who stopped at the scene and has been spoken to by police.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or events immediately before it, is asked to contact the Western Area Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting log 1277 of 2 May.
