THE UK INDIE Lit Fest returns to Bradford this summer and will welcome 37 authors from across the UK.

The single day will be packed with free writers’ workshops, readings from attending authors, a poets’ corner and talks.

Genres will include romance, horror, mystery, historical fiction, poetry, self-help, YA, dystopia, fantasy, paranormal, chick lit, crime and children’s fiction.

The UK Lit Fest will be held on Saturday, July 27 from 10am to 5pm at Kala Sangam Arts Centre in Bradford.

The festival will then be at St Thomas’s Church, Greetland, Halifax, on October 8 from 3pm to 5pm.

In 2016 Follow This Publishing had the idea of hosting a festival which would showcase authors work, support budding writers and give readers the chance to interact with bestselling authors from around the UK for free.

Since that first small event, the UK Indie Lit Fest has grown year by year to its current size.

This year will feature an International Hub where authors from around the world video-chat to their fans and readers.

CJ Rutherford from Ireland returns for a second year to chat with fans, as does JS Burke, the American queen of romance.

A spokesman said: “Last year we introduced a new attraction in the shape of Tombe dance company, a young group of dancers and book lovers who produce physical theatre pieces inspired by their favourite reads.

“This year Tombe will be performing their interpretation of Alice In Wonderland, with two performances on the day at noon and 3.20pm.”
