SCOUTS are on the crest of a wave after winning a dragon boat contest.
Members of the Haworth and Fell Lane troops and Worth Valley Explorers teamed-up to take part in the Bradford Dragon Boat Youth Championships, on the River Aire at Saltaire.
Haworth Scout leader, Ben Ogden, said: “All the Scouts were really excited to attend the event.
“They had signed-up to complete their Dragon Boating Activity Award, which requires them to take part in a competition.
“They had an amazing experience and couldn’t believe it when their teamwork and ‘do your best’ spirit earned them the top spot!”
The Bradford dragon boat event is the biggest of its kind in the country.
