A BODYGUARD to Hollywood stars is to lead a women’s self-defence class in Keighley.

Dene Josham will head the session at NuBod Personal Training, based in Cross Roads.

Mr Josham has been a bodyguard to some of the world’s biggest celebrities, including Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt and Russell Crowe.

The Keighley class, on a date to be arranged, will take the form of a three-and-a-half-hour workshop.

Issues covered will include threat awareness, evaluation and avoidance; mindset, body language and adrenaline; attackers’ habits and behaviours; improvised weapons, self-defence and the law, and effective striking and self-defence techniques.

“This will yield huge benefits to those taking part and help make the community a safer place to be,” said James Turner, who co-owns NuBod with partner Shelby Hardinge.

“It will be a great workshop.”

Spaces will be limited to 20 women, on a first-come first-served basis.

Although the date is to be confirmed, people can register their interest via the NuBod Facebook page or e-mail nubodpt@gmail.com.
