KATIE Baker has been declared a group's greatest loser – and she's delighted!
She has earned the coveted title at the Steeton Slimming World class.
Katie joined the group, which meets at Steeton Hall Hotel on Wednesdays, 18 months ago and has shed four stones 9lbs.
The 25-year-old said that prior to attending the sessions, she had always struggled with her weight and had health issues.
She suffers from severe type-one diabetes.
"I knew that to try to improve my health one of the main changes I needed to make was to lose weight," said Katie, who weighed-in at just over 15 stones when she joined the group.
Her group consultant Fiona Newhouse, also a type-one diabetic, pledged to do all she could to help Katie achieve her goal.
"I couldn’t have done it without the support of Fiona, the group and my mum!" said Katie.
"They have all been truly amazing.
"I have made lots of new friends and look forward to attending the group every week.
"I have gone from a size 18 to a size ten in clothing – I feel like a new person with my new-found confidence."
