Police have arrested a 41-year-old man on suspicion of sending malicious communications
AN arrest has been made in an investigation into reports that a masked man had posted “malicious communications” through letterboxes in Silsden.
A 41-year-old man is now in police custody and under investigation for allegedly handing out the material.
Residents complained they felt intimidated after photographs of an anonymous man appeared to show him decked out in a black balaclava and baseball cap, wandering around the town, delivering letters from a group known as MORON (Marxist Out Rage Only Notion).
@WYP_SgtSoftley tweeted about the arrest.
He said: “Don’t worry #Silsden our man is in the cells as I type for malicious communications #KeighleyNPT
“No one wants this postman #policingkeighley”
