FASHION retailer Damart – whose warehousing facility is at Steeton – is in the pink.
A special pink vest has been produced and a £5 donation from the sale of each one will go to Breast Cancer Now.
Five volunteers modelled the vest for the catalogue and promotional purposes, including Damart employee Karen Cox, who has personal experience of breast cancer. The other volunteers were from Bosom Friends, a support group for those affected by the disease.
All of them also spoke about their experiences of being diagnosed with breast cancer, and their stories feature in an awareness-raising video on Damart’s website and Facebook page.
The vest comes in sizes 8-28 and is priced from £17 – go to damart.co.uk for more details.
Claire Brown, for Damart, said: “It was inspiring working alongside five women who were so open, sharing their personal stories of breast cancer to help raise awareness.”
