A NEW community radio station due to start in Keighley is looking for volunteers. Local people are being recruited for a number of roles including presenting programmes, marketing, editorial and technical duties.
The station will broadcast from the Jam on Top music studios in Keighley, which several years ago hosted Jam Radio. The project is being funded by regeneration organisations Keighley Big Local and CLLD Keighley and also involves Keighley College.
Big Local coordinator Shaun O’Hare said: “It’s a new project and defining its objectives is down to those involved – it’s a blank canvas and that includes finding a name.
A get-together for anyone interested in being involved will be at Jam on Top, Chesham Street, off Dalton Lane, on Monday October 14 from 7pm to 8.30pm.
