PEOPLE across Keighley are gearing-up for Children in Need.

A host of activities is set to take place as schools, workplaces, pubs and community groups prepare to support the annual fundraising extravaganza, which takes place on Friday (Nov 15).

Over the years, the BBC Children in Need appeal has coined-in more than £1 billion.

A number of projects supporting children and young people in the Keighley district have benefited from the funds raised.

A spokesman said: “In the last year alone, Children in Need has been able to make a real difference to 600,000 young lives in communities the length and breadth of the UK.

“That’s incredible – and it is all down to people coming together to help make a difference. I hope the public does it again this year, because it really will change young lives. People can raise money in whatever way they choose – from three-legged races to quizzes and bake sales.”
