A KEIGHLEY funeral director is supporting Child Bereavement UK.
David Gallagher Funeral Directors has donated £1,000 to the charity, which is one of the causes being backed through the current Lord Mayor’s Appeal.
Also, the Skipton Road firm is remembering all the families it has supported this year with a Christmas tree at its Airedale House premises. A white light represents each person cared for.
Director, Adele Gallagher, said: “We know only too well the issues relating to bereavement for both young and old and although we can support them during the short time that we are part of their lives, knowing that a charity such as Child Bereavement UK can guide them through the next stages of grief gives us great peace of mind.”
A cheque was presented to the Lord Mayor of Bradford, Keighley councillor Doreen Lee.
Child Bereavement UK supports families and helps train professionals.
Last year the charity, founded in 1994, supported more people than ever before.
