GENEROUS farmers meeting-up for shows and sales at Skipton Auction Mart are now regularly donating lambs for charity.
The latest to donate was Silsden Moor-based Simon Bennett (pictured, by Moule Media, with a recent prime cattle show success) when he presented a 49kg Texel lamb – which raised £145 for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance after going to Alan Beecroft, of Countrystyle Meats Farm Shop & Restaurant in Lancaster.
Also, James and Jennifer Garth – of Keasden – donated their last lamb of the current season, which went to an Annan buyer for £88 in aid of Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice Manorlands.
