DOLLY Parton’s musical 9 to 5 is coming to the Alhambra Theatre in Bradford this autumn.

The show, which takes its inspiration from country music queen’s hit song of the 1980s, 9 to 5, and the subsequent film can be seen from November 10-14. Star casting is due to be announced for the tour, which comes after the musical got five-star reviews and sold-out houses in the West End of London.

9 to 5 the Musical tells the story of three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss. Concocting a plan to kidnap and turn the tables on their despicable supervisor, will the women manage to reform their office - or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?

With an Oscar, Grammy and Tony award-nominated score Dolly, and a book by the iconic movie’s original screenwriter Patricia Resnick, the comedy is about teaming up, standing up and taking care of business.

Bring It On The Musical is earmarked for July 14-18. Amber Davies and Louis Smith are in the cast of the stage version of hit American high school drama Bring It On set amidst the cutthroat world of cheerleading.

The show is written by Tony Award winners Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton), Jeff Whitty (Avenue Q), Tom Kitt (Grease: Live) and Amanda Green (High Fidelity).

Buddy – The Buddy Holly Story is due to return to the Alhambra from July 21-25, with two terrific hours of some of the greatest songs ever written, including That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Oh Boy, Rave On, La Bamba, Chantilly Lace, Everyday and Shout.
