BUSINESSES continuing to operate during the coronavirus crisis are being urged to follow latest Government advice on protecting their employees, customers and suppliers.
The Government and the Health and Safety Executive are providing guidance on which businesses can remain open and how to ensure social distancing rules are applied.
Councillor Alex Ross-Shaw, Bradford Council’s executive member for regeneration, planning and transport, said: “We ask that all businesses follow the latest Government guidance to ensure the health and wellbeing of everyone.
“We thank the vast majority of companies and workers who are following the advice and being responsible.
“A small minority of businesses are taking part in unsafe behaviours.
“Environmental health officers and Trading Standards’ staff, with police support if appropriate, will take firm action against businesses breaking the rules.”
