An Evening with Sir Michael Parkinson will be at King’s Hall, Ilkley, on October 25 while An Evening with Sir Geoff Hurst will be at St George’s Hall, Bradford, on November 24.

One show will celebrate the life and career of Michael Parkinson, who has interviewed over 2,000 of the most important cultural figures of the 20th and 21st centuries.

A spokesman for Bradford Theatres said: “Relive the best moments from a show that for many defined their Saturday night.

“During this evening you will also get the chance to see highlights from the Parkinson archive and enjoy Sir Michael Parkinson in conversation with his son Mike.

“This is a unique opportunity to get an intimate, entertaining and informative look at his remarkable journey from a pit village in Yorkshire, to the top of those famous stairs!”

An Evening With Sir Geoff Hurst is described as a must-see for any true football fans as the former player, knighted in 1998, talks about his life and career.

The spokesman said: “Hear the football legend talk about his illustrious West Ham and England career and how, even 55 years on from England’s World Cup victory, he remains the only player to score a hat-trick in a World Cup Final.

“This is a great chance to meet such an iconic sporting figure! There is a question and answer session in the second part of the show, and VIP meet and greet is also available.”
