HOUSES could be built on a long-empty village site if new plans are approved.
The Black Bull in Keighley Road, Denholme, was demolished years ago, and the site, between the road and Denholme Cricket Club, has stood empty and fenced off ever since.
Now a planning application to build two, four-bed detached houses on the site has been submitted to Bradford Council.
The development would have four off-street parking spaces.
There have been numerous plans for the site in the past.
In 2005 an application to build a three-storey block of six flats was approved, but never implemented.
In 2016 plans for semi-detached homes on the land were refused due to concerns over the height of the properties.
A decision on the new application, by Ellison Construction, is expected in August.
